This is the first book in her Villains series. We are presented with two antiheroes and need to decide which side we fall on. Victor and Eli discover how to make ordinary people ExtraOrdinary, or EO, possessing superhuman powers of some sort. It requires death, intention, and a willingness to survive.
Both of them come out of this revelation with distinctly different world views, and pitted against each other. It will be a battle to the death, again, to see which bad side wins.
Soundtrack
- Send the Pain Below by Chevelle
- The Red by Chevelle
- Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional

Pros & Cons & Potential Spoilers
Pros
- Cool idea, making the impossible scientifically plausible
- The powers people get and having them linked to how they died is also neat
- Sparks the imagine on what powers each of us might get and how we might use them
Cons
- There is an alarming amount of killing of people, with no regard for the value of life
- It seems relatively easy to bring people back to life throughout the book, with no actual medical training
- The ineptitude of the police force and law enforcement in general is a bit overdone
